Meet the Board

Q & A with Marisa Mudge

Position on the Board: Director
Company: Mudge Fasteners, Corona, CA

How did you get started in the fastener industry?

Birth, haha! My father started the company when I was very young.  There are pictures of me at four years old carrying a small box of cotter pins around his warehouse.  As I got a little older, I earned extra money bagging screws.  When I was in my senior year in high school, I would drive to work after school to do clerical work, then while in college I took over A/R.  After I graduated I had a series of “grown-up” jobs, and in the '90s I came back to work at Mudge Fasteners full time.  If the theory of our esteemed friend Kevin Chavis is correct ("You only have two years to get out of fasteners or you’re in for life"), there was not much of a chance I’d do anything else.
