How did you get started in the fastener industry?
I grew up in the fastener industry essentially. My first formal job in the industry was in 2011, after my freshman year in college when I worked in the shipping department of Star Stainless.
What is the best advice you ever got?
“When reacting to challenges or hardships, handle it in a way that will make your future self proud”.
Do you have a personal goal for 2020?
Use the pandemic and the resulting closures/cancellations as a catalyst for innovative thinking, and value creation for members in ways that were previously never explored.
What inspires you?
Elon Musk, and seeing people accomplish things that were thought impossible, or better yet, never even considered in the first place.
When you were a child, what did you want to be as a grown-up?
A professional film critic.
What do you do when you're not at work?
Spend time with friends and family, preferably in the backyard with yard games galore. Also, playing guitar, reading, and hiking.
What is your favorite vacation destination?
What TV show did you binge most recently?
Entourage.
Who is your favorite singer or group?
I would say my most played would be a three-way tie between Blink-182, Bon Iver, or Big Wild.
